About the Instructor

My name is Yann Le Meur. I’m a French sport scientist. I earned a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology in 2010 by studying the performance factors in high-level Olympic distance triathlon. My main research interests focus on performance analysis, training methodology, prevention of overreaching and recovery. The biggest part of my work is not dedicated to research but mainly to work with elite athletes daily. Over the last decade, I worked with several French Olympic teams for Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in both individual and team sports. Between 2016 and 2019, I have been employed full-time by AS Monaco Football Club as scientific advisor of the club. Since 2019, I’m working as a consultant with multiple Olympic sports in building their performance strategy, as well as with AS Monaco to consolidate the club’s training methodology. I have been supporting tennis player Daniil Medvedev since 2017 to optimize the planning of his training, his physical preparation contents and help him optimize his nutritional and recovery strategies. Most people generally know me for the infographics I share on social medias and on YLMSportScience app to facilitate the dissemination of recent sports science research
